Fun times in Feburary

We have been busy with lots of friends, church activities, and of course Colds. It always seems like the minute we have gotten rid of the Cold and clean the house of the nasty bug. It comes right back. Here is the gang! They are such a great bunch of kids.

OK, I"m sure i have to explain the eye makeup. So for Wyatt's birthday party we did an Army theme. One of his friends mom thought it would be cool to get some black makeup to put under their eyes like. It has been fun! They love hunting and of course protecting the girls.

I have been busy with cub scouts. We just had the Blue and Gold banquet. Unfortunately I wasn't able to attend because of sick kids. But i did make these center pieces, with the help of my scouts of course. Its really hard to come up with Red, White and Blue decorations in the middle of winter. Thanks to a friend of mine who gave me a great idea and i just ran with it. I think they turned out very cute....from far way..lol. It was really hard to get the stars to look good. So don't look to close.

Happy Birthday to Wyatt!!

Last week was a great week. It was Wyatt's birthday! He turned the big 5. And this year he wanted a friend party. But not only that, he wanted an Army party. So i had to come up with an invitation. Luckily a friend of mine is into Digital Scrap booking. I'm slowly getting the hang of it. So this invitation is my first attempt. I thought it turned out cute. It is very simply. I had to edit it, so it didn't have all of my address and stuff.

Wyatt got his first paycheck. It was really cute. Wyatt's Grandma McDonald sent him a birthday card with a check. My mom sends them birthday money every year, but this year he realized what it actually was. So when he opened his card he said "I got my first paycheck" He was very excited to buy something from his birthday money. Thanks Grandma McDonald. They love and appreciate all that you and Grandpa do for them.

Birthday time at Wyatt's preschool. We brought peanut butter chocolate chip cookies. Wyatt's favorite. Hailey had no problem finding some friends to play with. She fit right in.

Its really cute what they do for the birthday kid. They let him wear a crown. And sing Happy Birthday to the birthday kid.

Birthday party at the house. Wyatt had a lot of friends come. It was fun. Here we are playing the parachute army guy game. The trick is to get the guy in the bucket. It was pretty hard.

Opening presents is always fun for everyone. And Wyatt was so excited. During his party he would ask everyone 5 minutes if it was time to open presents.

Cake time. I actually made a Weight Watchers cake. It was really good!!

We had an Army guy, and we played pin the weapon on the army guy. It was pretty funny. And everyone took pictures in front of the army guy. Here are my kids in their camo gear.

Its been to long.

Yes, its been a long time since i have posted anything. I"m feeling very overwhelmed. I will try to slowly catch up. So with these cold winter days, boredom and silliness has come out and showed its face. Here is a picture of us and the kids having fun with our camera. Wyatt and his best friend Jackson have been spending a lot of time together. And they are funny as ever.

They enjoy playing army guys and stringing them up for fun. Its amazing that they were able to get them to stay.
Little Hailey started Sunbeams and is loving it here are a couple of pictures with her teacher and her friend Alivia. She is learning so much. The other day, we were at her Great Grandmas house and with all the family there..she stood in the middle and said "Jesus said love everyone" so cute. To bad she doesn't feel that when she is hitting someone...lol

Playgroups are great! My friend Alisha has been doing these great play dates..its been great for the kids and the moms too. In these two pictures they pretend to camp out and they sang songs. And of course, what camp out wouldn't be complete with out Smores.
There are some great looking future missionaries in that tent.
And look at these beautiful girls. They are all amazing! Hailey told me today what she wanted to be when she grew up. She said "Doctor, surgery." I have no idea where that came from..but i think its wonderful. And she said she wants to be a mom too. With 5 kids all girls. I think she will be wonderful at anything she decided to do. What an aspiring plan from a 3 year old.

We love dancing!

We had our neighbors over to play today. They had so much fun. They ended up playing Princes and Princesses. Its like they already knew how to ballroom dance. It was so cute and so fun to watch(don't mind the mess, they were having fun) And Wyatt has a new crush, our neighbor Brooke. He is writing her a note right now. So cute! And she is 2 years older than he is. I love the kids creativity.

Finishing the Basement

We have been working on framing our basement, this is Haileys room. She is ready to move in right now without sheetrock, carpet or paint. This is Wyatts room and he wants to move in right now too.

This our our huge family room. All the bedrooms are really good sized. So when we get done we will have 5 bedrooms and 3 baths. We really love this house.

This is on our way to Great Grandmas house. We took the long way there.

The Holidays

This is the day after Christmas, when it snowed like crazy. It was so much fun. We went to Grandma and Grandpas and spent the day out on the 4-wheelers.

Wyatt and Hailey trying to get back on the sled

We stayed out most of the day. Wyatt didnt want to come inside

The Season coming to an end.

As the season comes to a close, here are a couple of left over pictures. Josh loves the way our house looks in the snow and lights. He wants to do more, but we can only do a little at a time. Lights on the pond. We didn't make it to Temple Square this year, but the kids didn't mind. It was nice because it was warm enough to walk around the pond. It was a fun activity.

The kids and Cheetos, what kid doesn't love Cheetos. They have fun together.
Dinner anyone? The kids were so cute that night. They even took some of my mums that were still blooming in December, and put them in the little vase for the table.

I never put a picture up of our tree. It turned out very lovely. This weekend everything gets put away. I love the song on the CD The Forgotten Carols "I cry the day that i take the tree down, i want the season to last all year round"
I hope everyone had a great year. And reflect on the blessing of this past year. WE have been so blessed this year. All our love The Smiths

Some odds and ends

Here a few of odds and ends pictures. Unfortunately, we didn't take any pictures Christmas morning...lol. We always take the video camera out, and we forgot about just some pictures.

Well last Sunday, Clayton was sick so we stayed home from Church, I know he doesn't look sick. But he had "the runs". So I told him it was time to change his diaper, and he ran and hid(first time) I found him under the kids bunk bed laughing so hard. It was so cute, i wish to video taped it. Wyatt and Hailey in front of our Christmas tree.

And here is the picture of the two boys and their hair. Wyatts isn't to much blonder, you have to look closer, next time maybe i will keep it on longer. Josh's turned out really good. And he got new glasses, so its kind of a new and fresher look.

Bleach Blondes

Josh was really blonde as a kid, and when i met him he always had the blonde tips. Well, over the last couple of years, we stopped doing it. Well, my lovely Sister in law Camille has taught me how to cut my boys hair and now has taught me how to highlight there hair. Wyatt is already blonde, but we took it a shade lighter on the top, very cute. And Josh's hair over the year has become sort of brown. His turned out great too. I will have to take some pictures. I'm thinking one day when the kids are all in school, I will go to Cosmetology school.

Grosgrain: Tree Lighting Frock GIVEAWAY!!!!

Snow bunnies

We have been having a snow storm every other day..its been fun! Wyatt and Caden built their first snowman all by there selves. Sledding down our steep driveway.

Boy do i love all the fun we have in the snow, but i don't look forward to driving in it. I guess Josh just needs to teach me. I don't even dare to do a donut..lol. Everything is going good for the Smith family, Josh has two weeks off..which is so nice. And i have to finish up a few things for Christmas..i'm working on our families pajamas. And i have to make two Tutus before Christmas, so i have my work cut out for me. I can't wait for Christmas.
