"a scouting we will go..."
I thought I officially hated scouting. Boy did that change when I took these awesome boys to day camp. I really needed a change of heart. It was so much fun. I wanted to do this stuff too. I ended up doing the sling shot...that was awesome. I had such a great time spending time with these boys and sharing in their excitement. And everyone of them walked away enjoying scouts more. Hopefully they will come more often.
Jake is the scout master here, and I must admit, I dislike scouting sometimes too! he travels a lot for work, then to be gone every wednesday and some weekends with the scouts, I was kinda "unsupportive" to put it nicely. But I have seen such a change in his scouts that i too now enjoy it and try to be more helpful. I am glad you are liking your scouts. I seem to recall your Dad being a great scout leader. Guess it runs in the family!
ReplyDeleteI loved going to day camp. I wanted to shoot the guns and some of the others things but they told the leaders "no." It is a fun place to go though.
