"Wordless Wedesday"

Saturday, July 26, 2008

This is Jesse and Camille, I had to steal this picture from their blog. I wanted to tell everyone that they are expecting their first. We are very excited for them. They are going to make wonderful parents. I should know because they are just awesome with my kids. And they have ALWAYS been willing to watch our kids when they can so Josh and I can get some time together. I'm greatful to have them part of the family. And I hope they know we will watch their baby anytime they need us, or if they need some one on one time. I'm just so excited for them. Its awesome.

I got my hair cut, and i love the color and cut..a little short, but it will grow.

Wyatt and Hailey remind me so much of the show Charlie and Lola, and its one of their favorite show.

Mommy duties

Position:
Mother, Mom, Mama, Mommy

Job Description:
Long term, team players needed, for challenging permanent work in an, often chaotic environment. Candidates must possess excellent communication and organizational skills and be willing to work variable hours, which will include evenings and weekends and frequent 24 hour shifts on call. Some overnight travel required, including trips to primitive camping sites on rainy weekends and endless sports tournaments in far away cities. Travel expenses not reimbursed. Extensive courier duties also required.

Responsibilities:
The rest of your life. Must be willing to be hated, at least temporarily, until someone needs $5. Must be willing to bite tongue repeatedly. Also, must possess the physical stamina of a pack mule and be able to go from zero to 60 mph in three seconds flat in case, this time, the screams from the backyard are not someone just crying wolf. Must be willing to face stimulating technical challenges, such as small gadget repair, mysteriously sluggish toilets and stuck zippers. Must screen phone calls, maintain calendars and coordinate production of multiple homework projects. Must have ability to plan and organize social gatherings for clients of all ages and mental outlooks. Must be willing to be indispensable one minute, an embarrassment the next. Must handle assembly and product safety testing of a half million cheap, plastic toys, and battery operated devices. Must always hope for the best but be prepared for the worst. Must assume final, complete accountability for the quality of the end product. Responsibilities also include floor maintenance and janitorial work throughout the facility.

Possibility For Advancement & Promotion:
Virtually none. Your job is to remain in the same position for years, without complaining, constantly retraining and updating your skills, so that those in your charge can ultimately surpass you.

Previous Experience:
None required unfortunately. On-the-job training offered on a continually exhausting basis.

Wages And Compensation:
Get this! You pay them! Offering frequent raises and bonuses. A balloon payment is due when they turn 18 because of the assumption that college will help them become financially independent. When you die, you give them whatever is left. The oddest thing about this reverse-salary scheme is that you actually enjoy it and then wish you could only do more.

Benefits:
While no health or dental insurance, no pension, no tuition reimbursement, no paid holidays and no stock options are offered; this job supplies limitless opportunities for personal growth and free hugs for life if you play your cards right.

"Memory Monday"
So today is Memory Monday. There are a few things that I wanted Hailey to remember. She always has had this desire to taste stuff and smell stuff. I caught her today licking playdough..lol she has a little noise maker stuck in it...but she is still licking it. Maybe i should make some playdough that she can eat and taste.
She also loves to smell stuff all the time. Here she is smelling worms...gross. With all this tasting and smelling maybe she will be a Chef when she grows up.
Wyatt has a new love, bugs; worms, lady bugs, grasshoppers, crickets, etc. We got him a bug catcher and there is always something in it. Even if its missing a leg by the time he gets it in the catcher.

Late 4th of july fun

The morning of the 4th we went up the canyon for fun in the water and a picnic. Poor Hailey looks like she peed her pants..but she didn't.
We went up to the stadium(tradition) for dinner and fire works. Clayton loved having this cap in his mouth it was so funny. He had so much fun and loved the fireworks. We left a little early so we could beat the traffic. Josh had to work that night.
My kids are so sweet to each other.....most days..lol
Hailey is so pretty!

Family Friday!!

"Family Friday"
I wanted to share something about my family. I was sharing a story with my kids tonight, they are always asking for stories, and they can never get enough even if they are the lamest stories.
So tonight I shared the story of when i was teaching my youngest brother how to drive. For my kids it is a what not to do story. So when my brother David got his permit, He need to get some time in. And of course i was more than willing to take him. But legally, i wasn't old enough to have him drive with me...oh well, that didn't stop us.
We were taking some side roads, and we were driving by a garage sale, and my brother got a little to close to the parked cars and side swipped a car. My poor little 15 year old brother had to find the owner of the car and talk to them. Now that I think about it, I guess we could have just drove on...I don't think anyone really saw it...j/k we wouldn't really do that. We are suppose to be honest, right? Oh yeah, I took the blame for the accident just in case the cops got involved.
Well, we found the lady and we couldn't find the right insurance card to exchange insurances. So we gave her as much info she need..but because we were kids, we didn't get hers or even call the cops. Turns out, she didn't have insurance we should have called the cops on her.
So from this experience, I learned not to get into car accidents (all though i have been in 3 so far). Always call the cops. Always have insurance and always get the other persons insurance info....lol And don't teach anyone to drive. I think Josh will have to teach our kids. Just a side note, i am a very safe driver..i really am.
So as for the story my kids only liked the part of when we crashed. I hope it doesn't teach them that its fun. Although Josh's bronco stories teaches the kids about crashing too.
I hope my kids will pass on our crazy stories to their kids. And I know my kids will definitely have stories of their own. I hope everyone enjoyed my little glimpes into my past. I'm sure my brother has his own rendition of this story. He is a lot more funnier than I am.

How to make a tutu

So i have had a few of you ask me about the tutu. So this is the best web site i can find on how to, atleast the picture of how to tie the knot is the best i have found with out drawing it myself.

You can pretty use anything for the wasit; ribbon, elastic wasitband, rope, etc. You can add any embellishment you want, flowers, bows, anything you can. Oh and you can do two colors or more, what ever your little heart desires. I think the wide elastic wasitband works the best, when you use that doing two colors, one color on top of the band and one on the bottom. I hope I'm explaning it well enough. If you have any questions just let me know.

I hope they call me on a mission.

So on Saturday, Wyatt did his first missionary activity. He was a little shy at first, he really didn't want to stay. But he went in and had a lot of fun. He can't wait til he can go on a real mission. His my big man, after the activity. He had a wonderful time. He is going to make a great missionary.

Swimming with the cousins.

Some swim pictures out of order...oh well...lol

Just some more fun pictures with Hailey and her tutu.
The other day we went to my sister inlaws house and had a swim party. The kids had so much fun, and Clayton had fun pushing this little bike around. Plus i love his cute chubby legs.
